Who is Michelle Andersen? |

Michelle is a resident of Southern Oregon, though she grew up in sunny Southern California. This 26 year-old artist is married and has two children, a 5½ year-old girl and 4 year old-boy [as of June 2007]. (To learn more family-related details, and see photos, click here.) Most often working with graphite pencils, Michelle specializes in what she has called "Fantasy Realism." While allowing her to hone her realism and portrait skills, it still leaves room for her imagination to show through. Having always loved the fantasy genre she enjoys putting little touches to her work to pull that fantasy aspect out. She is most comfortable working with graphite, but Michelle hopes to someday move on to more diverse materials. She plans on trying her hand at charcoal soon, and hopes to be able to branch out into colors, be they on the canvas or on the computer. She recently completed a painting class and hopes to continue that style of art in the future. Michelle works as a mother, college student,
web designer and freelance artist, and spends
what little free time she has performing in local community theater productions.
She hopes to eventually incorporate her art into a full-time career. Her
ultimate goal is to use her artistic abilities in the area of video game
design and development. Much like art, video games are another hobby she
greatly enjoys. She can often be found gaming on one of her many consoles.
She likes to game, sometimes with her fellow-gamer husband or on xbox
